- Proactively research and identify potential guests for various programs and events within the media and entertainment industry
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with talent agencies, publicists, and other industry professionals to secure high-profile guests
- Collaborate with producers and other team members to identify guest needs and align with program/event themes and goals
- Negotiate and finalize guest bookings, including fees, schedules, and logistics
- Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, their representatives, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful booking process
- Stay up-to-date on industry news, trends, and popular figures to inform guest booking decisions
- Coordinate and manage guest travel and accommodations, including transportation, lodging, and other logistics
- Track and manage guest contracts and payment information
- Monitor guest schedules and provide necessary updates and changes to internal teams as needed
- Contribute to brainstorming and strategy sessions for potential guest ideas and collaborations
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner when interacting with external partners and guests.
Strong Knowledge Of The Media Industry: A Booker At Nbcuniversal Media Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Media Landscape, Including Current Trends, Key Players, And Audience Preferences.
Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As A Booker, One Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Scheduling Guests, Segments, And Content For Various Shows. Therefore, Strong Organization And Time-Management Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
Exceptional Communication Skills: A Booker Must Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Negotiate And Book Guests, Communicate With Production Teams, And Collaborate With Other Departments.
Ability To Work Under Pressure: Working In A Fast-Paced Media Environment, A Booker Must Be Able To Thrive Under Pressure And Meet Tight Deadlines. This Includes The Ability To Handle Last-Minute Changes And Adapt Quickly To Unexpected Situations.
Previous Booking Experience: While Not Always Required, Having Previous Experience In Booking Guests For Television Or Other Media Platforms Is Highly Desirable For A Booker At Nbcuniversal Media. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Role And The Ability To Successfully Secure High-Profile Guests.
