  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance principles and regulations to ensure compliance and promote best practices within the organization.
  2. Provide strategic support and guidance to the NatWest Group Executive Committee on governance matters, including but not limited to board processes, committee charters, and governance policies.
  3. Collaborate with senior leaders across the organization to ensure the effective functioning of the Executive Committee and facilitate decision-making processes.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of board and executive committee meetings, decisions, and actions to ensure compliance and transparency.
  5. Coordinate and manage the logistics of board and executive committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, and preparation of meeting materials.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for all governance-related inquiries and communications from internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Monitor and report on emerging trends and developments in corporate governance, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  8. Ensure timely completion and submission of all required governance-related reports, filings, and disclosures.
  9. Lead and manage a team of governance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training as necessary.
  10. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and ethical behavior within the organization.
  11. Represent NatWest Group in external forums related to corporate governance, building and maintaining strong relationships with industry peers and regulatory bodies.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain governance-related policies, processes, and systems.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve governance practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and ensure timely implementation and compliance.
  15. Uphold NatWest Group's commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices in all governance-related activities.
