- Develop and maintain effective governance policies and procedures for the Executive Committee, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact and secretary for the Executive Committee, coordinating and scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting materials, and taking accurate minutes.
- Support the Executive Committee in decision-making processes by providing timely and accurate information, analysis, and insights.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment and consistency in decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the implementation of decisions and actions agreed upon by the Executive Committee, ensuring accountability and follow-through.
- Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the Executive Committee and its processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to other governance functions and committees within the organization, promoting a culture of strong corporate governance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in corporate governance, and proactively advise the Executive Committee on potential implications and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, regulators, and industry associations.
- Lead and manage a team of governance professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Corporate Governance: A Senior Governance Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Corporate Governance Principles, Regulations, And Best Practices. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing Governance Frameworks And Policies.
Strong Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Executive Committee Secretary Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Senior Leaders And Board Members, As Well As Coordinating With Various Internal And External Stakeholders. Therefore, Strong Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Proven Track Record In Managing Board Meetings And Documentation: The Successful Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing And Organizing Board Meetings, Including Preparing Agendas, Taking Minutes, And Ensuring Timely Distribution Of Meeting Materials.
