Develop, maintain, and optimize our public cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement business requirements in the cloud.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues or incidents related to the GCP environment.
Continuously improve and automate processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and make recommendations for adoption.
Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our cloud environment.
Work closely with development teams to deploy and manage applications in the cloud.
Conduct performance testing and tuning to optimize the performance of cloud-based applications.
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders.
Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues in the cloud environment.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to integrate their tools and services into our cloud infrastructure.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to any urgent issues or incidents in a timely manner.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation and standard operating procedures.
Actively participate in team meetings and share knowledge with colleagues.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and drive innovation in the cloud environment.

Job Qualifications

Proficient In Google Cloud Platform (Gcp) Architecture And Services: A Public Cloud Gcp Devops Engineer At Natwest Group Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Gcp's Infrastructure, Services, And Deployment Models. This Includes Experience With Gcp's Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, And Security Offerings.
Experience With Automation And Configuration Management Tools: The Role Of A Devops Engineer At Natwest Group Will Require Expertise In Automation And Configuration Management Tools Such As Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Or Terraform. Candidates Should Have Experience Designing And Implementing Automated Workflows For Infrastructure Provisioning, Configuration, And Maintenance.
Strong Scripting And Coding Skills: A Public Cloud Gcp Devops Engineer Should Be Proficient In At Least One Scripting Language (E.g. Python, Bash) And Have Experience With Software Development, Preferably In A Cloud Environment. This Will Allow Them To Write Automation Scripts And Code For Infrastructure Deployment And Automation Processes.
Knowledge Of Devops Methodologies And Best Practices: Natwest Group Is Looking For Candidates Who Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles, Practices, And Tools. This Includes Knowledge Of Continuous Integration And Deployment (Ci/Cd), Infrastructure As Code (Iac), And Agile Development Methodologies.
Excellent Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Devops Engineer, The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Problems Quickly Is Crucial. Natwest Group Is Looking For Candidates Who Have A Strong Foundation In Systems Administration And The Ability To Troubleshoot Issues Across The Entire Technology Stack, From Application Code To Infrastructure.
