  1. Design and develop cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the organization's digital transformation goals.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and secure cloud solutions.
  3. Implement and maintain automated configuration management, deployment, and orchestration tools for GCP.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and performance.
  5. Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for GCP environment and processes.
  6. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to optimize cloud operations and reduce costs.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies and best practices and make recommendations for their adoption.
  8. Actively participate in agile development processes to deliver high-quality code and solutions.
  9. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure GCP infrastructure and applications meet regulatory and security requirements.
  10. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and assist with onboarding new team members.
  11. Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project progress and issues.
  12. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to GCP infrastructure and applications.
  13. Work with third-party vendors and service providers to integrate their solutions with GCP.
  14. Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and provide support for critical incidents as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Google Cloud Platform (Gcp) Infrastructure: A Public Cloud Gcp Devops Engineer At Natwest Group Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Gcp Infrastructure Components Such As Compute, Storage, Networking, And Security. They Should Be Proficient In Managing And Optimizing These Services To Support The Organization's Applications And Workloads.

  • Proficiency In Automation And Configuration Management Tools: Natwest Group's Public Cloud Gcp Devops Engineer Should Possess Advanced Skills In Automation And Configuration Management Tools Such As Ansible, Terraform, And Puppet. They Should Be Able To Design And Implement Automated Processes For Deploying And Managing Infrastructure And Applications On The Gcp Platform.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Devops Principles And Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, And Agile Methodologies. They Should Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Development Teams To Streamline The Software Development Process And Ensure Timely Delivery Of High-Quality Applications.

  • Experience With Containerization And Orchestration Technologies: As Natwest Group Adopts A Microservices Architecture, The Public Cloud Gcp Devops Engineer Should Have Experience With Containerization Technologies Such As Docker And Orchestration Tools Like Kubernetes. They Should Be Able To Build And Manage Containerized Applications On Gcp Using Best Practices.

  • Excellent Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: Given The Complex Nature Of Cloud Environments, The Public Cloud Gcp Devops Engineer Should Have Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills. They Should Be Able To Identify And Resolve Issues Related To Infrastructure, Applications, And Services On Gcp Quickly And Efficiently To Minimize Downtime And Ensure Smooth Operations.
