As an experienced Principal Engineer at NatWest Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our innovative tech solutions. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for engineering and the financial sector. You will be an integral part of our leadership team, directing the engineering team to ensure our technology solutions are executed effectively and efficiently.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in software engineering, with a deep understanding of software architecture and development. An in-depth knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript is essential. Responsibilities:

Oversee the development of NatWest Group's innovative tech solutions.
Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring all technology solutions are executed effectively and efficiently.
Provide guidance and support to ensure the team is meeting deadlines and standards.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
Identify potential issues and develop solutions to problems.
Utilize creative and problem-solving skills to develop new products and services.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful integration of technology solutions.
Monitor and update engineering processes and standards, as needed.
Ensure the team is meeting performance and quality goals.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
