  1. Develop and implement model risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of all models used within NatWest Group to identify potential risks and control weaknesses.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all models are properly validated, documented, and monitored.
  4. Lead the design and execution of quantitative risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of model risk controls.
  5. Monitor and report on the overall health of the model risk management framework, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert on model risk and controls, providing guidance and training to team members and stakeholders.
  7. Stay current on industry trends and developments in model risk management and proactively identify opportunities for improvement within NatWest Group.
  8. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate model risk audits and address findings.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on model risk management practices.
  10. Drive a culture of risk awareness and accountability within NatWest Group, promoting a strong risk management culture throughout the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Model Risk Management Frameworks And Best Practices, Including Experience With Regulatory Requirements Such As Sr 11-7 And Ccar/Dfast.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Financial Products And Models Used In Risk Management, Including Credit, Market, And Operational Risk Models.

  • Proven Experience In Developing And Implementing Model Risk Policies And Procedures, Including Model Validation And Ongoing Monitoring Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Teams And Senior Management.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Model Risks And Control Gaps.
