Managing Legal Counsel

NatWest Group is looking for an experienced and passionate Managing Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. This position will play a vital role in providing strategic legal advice and support to the company's senior management and leadership teams. Ideal candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Responsibilities:

1.Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to NatWest Group's senior management and leadership teams. 2.Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 3.Draft, review and negotiate a variety of legal documents, such as contracts, leases, and other agreements. 4.Maintain and update company policies and procedures related to legal matters. 5.Serve as a legal liaison with outside counsel and other professionals to ensure timely, effective and cost-efficient resolution of legal matters. 6.Provide training and guidance to staff on legal matters. 7.Monitor legal developments and trends in relevant areas of the law. 8.Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and procedures. 9.Handle litigation matters, including responding to discovery requests, preparing pleadings, and appearing in court. 10.Advise on risk management strategies and provide guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
