Job Description

At NatWest Group, we are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background and deep knowledge of mainframe systems. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, Assembler, and z/OS JCL. They should also be familiar with database management systems, such as DB2, and have a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing and maintaining high-quality code, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot mainframe systems
Write code in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, Assembler, and z/OS JCL
Develop and maintain databases using DB2
Analyze and debug code and applications
Develop and follow coding standards and best practices
Identify areas of improvement for processes and code
Ensure high-quality code is produced
Work collaboratively with other developers and stakeholders
Test and document code changes
Provide technical support to users and internal teams
Resolve mainframe issues in a timely manner
