Data Platform Engineering Lead

NatWest Group is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Data Platform Engineering Lead to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about data and has the technical and interpersonal skills to make a real difference in our organization.The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the data engineering, software engineering or similar field. A strong background in building data platforms, working with big data, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders will be essential to the success of this role. In addition, the successful candidate should be comfortable with developing and optimizing data pipelines, have experience with software engineering languages such as Java and/or Python, and be familiar with cloud-based technologies such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.We’re looking for someone who is passionate about data and who is able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will need to be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once, while being flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize data pipelines
2. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while being flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment

5. Utilize software engineering languages such as Java and/or Python

9. Lead the data platform engineering efforts
10. Ensure successful completion of projects
