Job Description

We at National Instruments are looking for an experienced Systems Design Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Systems Design Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of System Design Engineers to ensure the successful development and delivery of systems engineering projects. We’re seeking an individual with an eye for detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in systems engineering, as well as a background in managing engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines. If this sounds like you, we’d love for you to join us!Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering• 3+ years of experience in managing and leading engineering teams• Knowledge of system design and development process• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of System Design Engineers to ensure successful development and delivery of systems engineering projects • Stay organized in a fast-paced environment • Monitor the systems engineering process and identify areas for improvement • Ensure the team meets deadlines and delivers high-quality solutions • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems engineering process • Train and mentor junior members of the team • Foster a positive working environment and culture • Develop reports and presentations to present to senior management
