Global Commodity Manager
Performs the functions of market analysis, internal NI demand analysis, global supplier analysis, define best sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation of price, terms and conditions, to maximize contribution to operating profit and business objectives. Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to attain the lowest cost of ownership. Negotiate frame contracts; define core assortment; document frame contracts in relevant supplier-management IT-systems. Drive reduction in third party non-conformance costs and ensure supply base delivers product to both industry established and NI supplier quality standards. Identify particular procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk management and change management.
3-5 years electrical distribution industry and/or related industry supplier experience.
Proven expertise in negotiating complex contracts in dynamic supply environment
Ability to influence, build relationships, and promote solutions without direct authority
Knowledge about market & suppliers for off-the-shelf as well as custom built low-voltage power & distribution transformers
Minimum of 8-10 years in Procurement
At least 5 years of direct experience with the Transformers and Windings material field.
