  1. Work closely with the design and development teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
  2. Research and identify suitable electronic components for product design and development.
  3. Evaluate component specifications and make recommendations for optimal selection based on cost, performance, and availability.
  4. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and resolve any technical or quality issues.
  5. Develop and maintain component databases and documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available for product design teams.
  6. Conduct thorough testing and analysis of components to ensure they meet industry standards and company requirements.
  7. Participate in design reviews to provide input and identify potential risks or issues related to component selection.
  8. Continuously monitor and assess component market trends, technology advancements, and industry standards to make informed recommendations for future product development.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any component-related issues during the design and production process.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of component qualifications, approvals, and changes.
  11. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements related to component selection and procurement.
  12. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates and address any questions or concerns related to components.
  13. Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance.
  14. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and advancements in component engineering to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Act as a mentor and resource for junior engineers and provide guidance and support as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Component Selection And Qualification For Electronic Systems.

  • Proficiency In Using Industry-Standard Component Databases And Tools, Such As Digi-Key, Mouser, Or Octopart.

  • Strong Understanding Of Electronic Circuit Design, Including Knowledge Of Basic Components Such As Resistors, Capacitors, And Ics.

  • Familiarity With Industry Standards And Regulations For Component Selection And Qualification, Such As Rohs, Reach, And Ipc.
