Oversee the histology department and ensure efficient and accurate processing of tissue samples.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures for the histology department.
Train and supervise histology team members to ensure consistent and high-quality work.
Monitor department performance and implement strategies for improvement.
Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of results to clients.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality control standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise in the histology process.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in histology techniques and technologies.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the histology department.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Communicate effectively with other departments and management regarding departmental activities and issues.
Assist in the development and management of departmental budget.
Contribute to the development and improvement of company-wide protocols and processes related to histology.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Histotechnology Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Histology Laboratory Setting.
Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) Or Histology Technician (Ht) From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Previous Experience In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role, With Demonstrated Ability To Manage A Team And Ensure Quality And Efficiency In Workflow.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Histology Techniques, Instrumentation, And Laboratory Processes, Including Tissue Processing, Embedding, Sectioning, Staining, And Quality Control.
