  1. Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of genetic testing, including but not limited to molecular biology, genetics, and data analysis.
  2. Collaborate with a team of passionate scientists to develop and improve genetic testing products.
  3. Lead research projects and develop innovative solutions to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of genetic testing.
  4. Analyze and interpret complex genetic data to provide insights and recommendations for product development.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in genetic testing and related fields to ensure Natera remains at the forefront of the industry.
  6. Communicate research findings and progress to key stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
  7. Develop and maintain protocols and procedures for conducting research and experiments.
  8. Train and mentor junior scientists on research techniques and procedures.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  10. Contribute to the development of patents and publications.
  11. Collaborate with external partners and organizations to advance research and development initiatives.
  12. Continuously seek out opportunities for improvement and innovation within the genetic testing industry.
  13. Represent Natera at conferences, seminars, and other scientific events.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field: A Staff Scientist R&D At Natera Must Have A Ph.d. In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Molecular Biology, Genetics, Or Biotechnology. This Advanced Degree Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Scientific Principles And The Ability To Conduct High-Level Research.

  • Experience In Molecular Diagnostics: Natera Specializes In Molecular Diagnostics, So Experience In This Field Is Crucial For A Staff Scientist R&D. Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Molecular Techniques, Such As Pcr, Sequencing, And Microarray Analysis, As Well As Experience Developing And Validating Diagnostic Assays.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: A Staff Scientist R&D At Natera Must Have Excellent Analytical Skills To Interpret Complex Data And Draw Meaningful Conclusions.
