- Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Collect and process blood samples according to established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure all samples are properly labeled, stored, and transported to the laboratory for testing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of biohazard materials.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide exceptional patient care by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely sample collection.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices and new developments in phlebotomy.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as needed, including administrative tasks and quality control.
- Act as a mentor and resource for other phlebotomists and new team members.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Represent Natera in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of service.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Phlebotomist, Preferably In A High-Volume Laboratory Or Healthcare Setting.
Certification As A Phlebotomist From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).
Proficient In A Variety Of Venipuncture Techniques, Including Difficult Draws And Pediatric Patients.
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Osha Regulations, With A Track Record Of Adhering To Strict Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff.
