Lead a team of bioinformatics scientists to develop and implement cutting-edge technology for improving human health.
Conduct research and analyze large volumes of genetic data to identify patterns and insights for precision medicine.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geneticists, molecular biologists, and software engineers, to develop innovative solutions.
Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and tools for data analysis and interpretation.
Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in bioinformatics and integrate them into the company's processes.
Mentor and train junior bioinformatics scientists in the team.
Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing quality control measures and protocols.
Participate in scientific conferences and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Work closely with product management and business development teams to identify new opportunities and drive the company's growth.
Take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion within established timelines.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to other departments within the company.
Uphold ethical and regulatory standards related to genetic testing and data privacy.
Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes and tools for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting research findings and project updates.
Represent the company as a thought leader in bioinformatics and contribute to building a strong scientific reputation for Natera.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Or A Related Field- A Senior Bioinformatics Scientist At Natera Should Have At Least A Master's Degree In Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Or A Related Field, With Preference Given To Candidates With A Phd.
Extensive Experience In Bioinformatics Analysis- The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Bioinformatics Analysis, With A Strong Background In Genomics, Sequencing, And Data Analysis Techniques.
Proficiency In Relevant Programming Languages And Tools- A Successful Candidate Should Have Expertise In Programming Languages Such As R, Python, And Perl, As Well As Experience With Relevant Bioinformatics Tools And Databases.
Strong Background In Statistics And Data Analysis- Natera Is Looking For A Senior Bioinformatics Scientist Who Is Proficient In Statistical Analysis And Has Experience In Analyzing Large Datasets, Implementing Quality Control Measures, And Interpreting Results.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills- The Role Of A Senior Bioinformatics Scientist At Natera Involves Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams, Presenting Findings To Stakeholders, And Managing And Mentoring Junior Team Members.
