Responsibilities:

  1. Provide pathology services to patients with cancer and other diseases in an oncology setting.
  2. Interpret and analyze laboratory results, and accurately document findings.
  3. Perform laboratory techniques and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Maintain accurate records and organize specimens for laboratory testing.
  6. Maintain safety protocols in the laboratory.
  7. Stay up-to-date on new developments in oncology pathology and utilize best practices.
  8. Participate in research projects related to oncology pathology.
  9. Provide education and guidance to fellow staff members and students.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure clear understanding of diagnosis and treatment plans.
