We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Denials and Appeals team. As the Associate Director, you will play a crucial role in guiding and managing the denials and appeals process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in healthcare billing and appeals.   1. Oversee and manage the denials and appeals process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to reduce the number of denials and increase the success rate of appeals.
  3. Provide guidance and support to team members in handling denials and appeals, including training on best practices and policies.
  4. Act as a liaison between Natera and insurance providers, advocating for timely and fair resolution of denials and appeals.
  5. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in the denials and appeals process, and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing, coding, and clinical departments, to identify root causes of denials and develop corrective action plans.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to denials and appeals.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
  9. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including denials rate, appeal success rate, and turnaround time.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and changes in healthcare billing and appeals, and make recommendations for process improvements accordingly.
  11. Mentor and develop team members, providing ongoing feedback and support to promote professional growth and development.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert on denials and appeals, providing guidance and training to other departments as needed.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the denials and appeals team.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Claims Management And Appeals, Preferably In A Hospital Or Laboratory Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or A Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Coding And Billing Processes, Including Cpt, Hcpcs, And Icd-10 Codes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Healthcare Providers.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience And Ability To Manage A Team, Including Goal Setting, Performance Management, And Staff Development.
