
Associate Director, Denials and Appeals

- Oversee and manage the denials and appeals process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce the number of denials and increase the success rate of appeals.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in handling denials and appeals, including training on best practices and policies.
- Act as a liaison between Natera and insurance providers, advocating for timely and fair resolution of denials and appeals.
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in the denials and appeals process, and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing, coding, and clinical departments, to identify root causes of denials and develop corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to denials and appeals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including denials rate, appeal success rate, and turnaround time.
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in healthcare billing and appeals, and make recommendations for process improvements accordingly.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing ongoing feedback and support to promote professional growth and development.
- Act as a subject matter expert on denials and appeals, providing guidance and training to other departments as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the denials and appeals team.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Claims Management And Appeals, Preferably In A Hospital Or Laboratory Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or A Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Coding And Billing Processes, Including Cpt, Hcpcs, And Icd-10 Codes.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Healthcare Providers.
Demonstrated Leadership Experience And Ability To Manage A Team, Including Goal Setting, Performance Management, And Staff Development.
