Youth Apprentice - HR

MUSC Health is looking for an ambitious and energetic Youth Apprentice - HR to join our team! We are looking for someone with a passion for human resources and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of our employees. To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with human resources is preferred but not required. A commitment to professional development and ongoing learning is also essential to this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Human Resources team with day-to-day tasks, including onboarding new employees, processing paperwork, and providing support to current employees.
2. Gather data and information to assist Human Resources in making decisions and formulating strategies.
3. Advise and guide employees on various HR-related topics, such as benefits, leave policies, and performance reviews.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
5. Develop and implement programs to encourage employee engagement and retention.
6. Participate in and coordinate various HR activities, such as job fairs, employee recognition events, and training programs.
7. Monitor and report on trends and metrics related to employee satisfaction and engagement.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure the organization is receiving the best value for its HR services.
9. Remain informed of industry standards, trends, best practices, and changes in applicable laws.
10. Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of new trends and best practices in human resource management.
