We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused UNIV-Shuttle Bus Driver to join our Transportation Services team. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients, visitors, and staff to and from various locations on our campus.   1. Safely transport patients, visitors, and staff to and from designated locations on the MUSC Health campus.
  2. Maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
  3. Ensure the timely and efficient pick-up and drop-off of passengers according to established schedules.
  4. Observe all traffic laws and follow safe driving practices to ensure the safety of all passengers.
  5. Maintain a clean and well-maintained shuttle bus, including conducting daily pre-trip inspections and reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
  6. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the shuttle bus, including those with disabilities or special needs.
  7. Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or accidents that may occur during shuttle bus operations.
  8. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate shuttle bus routes and schedules.
  9. Adhere to all MUSC Health policies and procedures, as well as local and state regulations pertaining to transportation services.
  10. Attend mandatory training sessions and stay up-to-date on all necessary certifications and licenses required for the position.
  11. Provide assistance and information to passengers, including directing them to the correct locations and answering any questions they may have.
  12. Maintain accurate records of shuttle bus operations, including passenger counts, mileage, and fuel usage.
  13. Continuously monitor and report any potential safety hazards or concerns related to shuttle bus operations.
  14. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the transportation services department.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): A Univ-Shuttle Bus Driver At Musc Health Must Possess A Current And Valid Cdl With Passenger Endorsement To Operate The Shuttle Buses.

  • Clean Driving Record: Candidates Must Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Violations Or Accidents In The Past Three Years.

  • Customer Service Skills: As A Shuttle Bus Driver, The Candidate Must Be Able To Provide Excellent Customer Service To All Passengers, Including Patients, Visitors, And Staff.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Regulations: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Regulations Related To Operating A Shuttle Bus, Including Proper Vehicle Maintenance And Emergency Procedures.

  • Physical Stamina: This Job May Require Long Periods Of Sitting, Standing, And Driving, So The Candidate Must Have Physical Stamina And The Ability To Perform The Job Duties Without Any Restrictions.
