We are currently seeking a highly organized and driven individual to join our team as the UNIV - PM&R Residency Coordinator in the Department of Orthopaedics. As the coordinator, you will play a vital role in the education and training of our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents.   1. Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, faculty, and program leadership regarding all aspects of the residency program.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including affiliated hospitals and community organizations.
  4. Plan and organize educational activities, including lectures, conferences, and workshops, for residents and faculty.
  5. Manage resident schedules, rotations, evaluations, and other administrative tasks related to the residency program.
  6. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements for the residency program.
  7. Collaborate with program leadership to develop and maintain program policies and procedures.
  8. Assist with recruitment and selection of new residents, including coordinating interviews and managing application materials.
  9. Provide support and guidance to residents throughout their training, including addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  10. Maintain accurate records and data related to the residency program, including resident evaluations, schedules, and attendance.
  11. Participate in the evaluation and improvement of the residency program, including collecting and analyzing data and implementing changes as needed.
  12. Serve as a liaison between the residency program and other departments and organizations within the institution.
  13. Attend and participate in meetings, committees, and other activities related to the residency program.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of PM&R.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of MUSC Health and the Department of Orthopaedics in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Acgme Accreditation Requirements And Experience With Residency Program Accreditation Processes.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Residency Program Coordination, Preferably In A Pm&R Or Orthopaedics Setting.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Interact With Residents, Faculty, And Other Stakeholders.
