  1. Provide safe and efficient transportation services for patients within the hospital campus.
  2. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while interacting with patients and their families.
  3. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient transportation, including infection control and safety protocols.
  4. Operate various types of patient transport equipment, such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, in a safe and responsible manner.
  5. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to coordinate patient transportation needs and ensure timely and accurate transport.
  6. Maintain accurate records of patient transport activities and report any incidents or issues to the appropriate department.
  7. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure prompt and efficient patient transport services.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the transportation team to identify and implement process improvements for better patient experience.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: As A Univ-Patient Transport Operator, It Is Essential To Have A Valid Driver's License And A Clean Driving Record To Safely Operate Vehicles And Transport Patients.

  • Experience In Fleet Operations: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Fleet Operations Setting, Preferably In A Healthcare Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Vehicle Maintenance, Scheduling, And Record-Keeping.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role As You Will Be Interacting With Patients, Medical Staff, And Other Team Members. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Necessary For Conveying Important Information And Instructions Accurately.

  • Basic Medical Knowledge: While Not Required, Having A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Can Be Beneficial In This Role. It Can Help Operators Better Understand The Needs Of Patients And Communicate With Medical Staff.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: Patient Transport Operators Often Have Physically Demanding Job Duties, Such As Moving Patients In And Out Of Vehicles And Pushing Heavy Equipment. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Good Physical Fitness And Stamina To Perform Their Duties Safely And Efficiently.
