We are currently seeking an open rank PRN (as needed) faculty member to join our Department of Pediatrics, specifically in the field of Emergency Medicine.   1. Greet and welcome patients and families to MUSC Health's pediatric department.
  2. Represent MUSC Health as a top-tier academic medical center and promote our commitment to excellence in patient care and education.
  3. Collaborate with other faculty members and healthcare professionals within the department to provide top-notch care to pediatric patients.
  4. Utilize expertise in the field of Emergency Medicine to diagnose, treat, and manage acute and critical conditions in pediatric patients.
  5. Stay up to date with current research and best practices in the field of pediatric emergency medicine.
  6. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as other healthcare professionals.
  7. Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and evidence-based treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  8. Exhibit strong communication skills and work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Ensure compliance with all medical center policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  11. Act as a role model for professionalism and ethical behavior.
  12. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  13. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for colleagues, staff, and students.
  14. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of pediatric emergency medicine.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Medical Degree: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution And Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Board Certification In Pediatrics And/Or Emergency Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Pediatrics And/Or Emergency Medicine, Demonstrating Their Expertise In These Areas.

  • Prior Experience In Pediatric Emergency Medicine: This Position Requires Significant Experience In Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Including The Ability To Handle A Wide Range Of Emergency Cases And Provide High-Quality Care To Pediatric Patients.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, As This Position Will Involve Working Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Medical Professionals.

  • Commitment To Teaching And Research: The Department Of Pediatrics At Musc Health Values Candidates Who Are Committed To Teaching And Research. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Excellence In Teaching And A Strong Interest In Contributing To Ongoing Research Initiatives In The Field Of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
