- Provide compassionate and high-quality medical care to pediatric patients and their families.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Keep abreast of current advances and best practices in pediatric medicine.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and accurately diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and manage patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues regarding patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary meetings and discussions.
- Adhere to all medical and ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Act as a mentor and resource for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to the advancement of pediatric medicine through research and academic activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to pediatric medicine.
- Represent the department and institution in a professional and positive manner.
Medical Degree: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Pediatrics By The American Board Of Pediatrics (Abp) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Pediatrics (Aobp).
Licensure: A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice Medicine In The State Of South Carolina Is Required.
Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience Practicing As A General Pediatrician, Preferably In An Academic Or Hospital Setting.
Research Experience: Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With A Strong Research Background And Experience In Conducting Clinical Trials Or Publishing In Peer-Reviewed Journals. Experience In Obtaining Grant Funding Is Also Highly Desirable.
