  1. Perform surgical procedures on cancer patients with precision and expertise.
  2. Stay up-to-date with advancements in surgical techniques and technologies.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans for cancer patients.
  4. Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
  5. Conduct and publish research in the field of surgical oncology.
  6. Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows in surgical techniques and patient care.
  7. Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities to further knowledge in the field.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in patient care, research, and education.
  11. Contribute to the academic community through presentations, publications, and other scholarly activities.
  12. Actively participate in departmental and institutional committees and meetings.
  13. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement departmental goals and initiatives.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with colleagues, staff, and patients.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the surgical oncology program at MUSC Health.

Job Qualifications

  • Medical Degree: A Successful Candidate For This Role Must Hold A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Surgery And Have A Subspecialty Certification In Surgical Oncology.

  • Experience In Academic Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In An Academic Medical Setting, With A Strong Record Of Teaching, Research, And Service.

  • Clinical Expertise: The Candidate Must Have A Proven Track Record Of Providing Excellent And Compassionate Patient Care In The Field Of Surgical Oncology.

  • Strong Publication Record: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Record Of Peer-Reviewed Publications In High-Impact Journals, Demonstrating Their Expertise And Contribution To The Field Of Surgical Oncology.
