Job Description

MUSC Health is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist I to join our dynamic team.   1. Conduct high-quality and accurate ultrasound imaging procedures on patients.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures and provide education and support throughout the process.
  4. Review and assess images to ensure diagnostic accuracy and completeness.
  5. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  8. Continuously stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  9. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, considering their individual needs and concerns.
  10. Assist with training and mentoring of new ultrasound technologists and students.
  11. Participate in quality improvement activities and provide feedback for process improvement.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory standards and guidelines for ultrasound procedures.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  14. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of ultrasound images.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In At Least One Specialty (Such As Abdomen, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Or Vascular).

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Performing Ultrasound Procedures.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Ultrasound Equipment And Related Technology.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Physicians, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
