- Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures on patients in accordance with department protocols and standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all procedures performed, including patient history, clinical information, and test results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and troubleshoot technical issues during procedures, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about the ultrasound procedure, answering any questions and addressing concerns.
- Regularly maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions or need for repairs.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient procedures, including billing information and insurance documentation.

Completion Of An Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program: A Qualification For This Position Would Be Completion Of An Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program, Which Provides The Necessary Education And Training For This Specialized Field.
Ardms Certification: The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Certification Is A Nationally Recognized Credential For Ultrasound Technologists. Having This Certification Would Demonstrate A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.
Experience In A Hospital Or Medical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Or Medical Setting, Particularly In The Area Of Ultrasound, Would Be A Valuable Qualification For This Job. It Would Indicate Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Equipment, And Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Ultrasound Tech I -Prn, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Strong Interpersonal Skills, Including Empathy And Active Listening, Are Essential For Building Trust And Establishing A Positive Rapport With Patients.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours And Handle A High Workload: This Position May Require The Ability To Work A Variety Of Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, As Well As Being On-Call. Additionally, The Ultrasound Tech I -Prn May Need To Handle A High Volume Of Patients And Be Able To Prioritize And Manage Their Workload Effectively.
