In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach programs to raise awareness about trauma and educate the community on prevention and treatment options.   1. Develop and implement outreach programs to raise awareness about trauma and its impact on individuals and communities.
  2. Coordinate and collaborate with various departments and organizations to plan and execute outreach events and educational programs.
  3. Conduct research to stay updated on current trauma prevention and treatment options.
  4. Develop educational materials and resources to support outreach initiatives.
  5. Serve as a liaison between MUSC Health and community organizations to build partnerships and promote trauma-informed care.
  6. Plan and facilitate training sessions for healthcare professionals and community members on trauma-informed care.
  7. Assess the needs of the community and create targeted outreach strategies to reach vulnerable populations.
  8. Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of outreach programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community leaders.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in trauma outreach and education.
  11. Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to promote outreach events and programs.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation of outreach activities and outcomes.
  13. Represent MUSC Health at community events and conferences to promote trauma awareness and education.
  14. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement trauma-informed care policies and procedures.
  15. Provide support and guidance to individuals and families affected by trauma.
  16. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to trauma outreach and education.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Healthcare Field, With A Strong Understanding Of Trauma Care And Management.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Trauma Center Or Similar Setting.

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (Cen) Or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (Tcrn) Certification Preferred.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Trauma Education Programs For Healthcare Staff, First Responders, And Community Members.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Support To Trauma Patients And Their Families.
