  1. Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and supplies according to established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Inspect, assemble, and package medical instruments and equipment for sterilization.
  3. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
  4. Monitor and record sterilization processes and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
  5. Follow infection control and safety procedures to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
  6. Ensure that all supplies and equipment are stored and handled properly to prevent contamination.
  7. Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies to maintain adequate levels.
  8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures.
  9. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards related to sterile processing and safety.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in sterile processing.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
  12. Respond to urgent requests for sterilized equipment or supplies in a timely manner.
  13. Communicate any issues or concerns related to the sterilization process to the appropriate personnel.
  14. Participate in quality control and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient safety.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
