Your attention to detail and expertise in sterilization processes will be essential in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring the safety of our patients.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a certified Sterile Processing Technician.   1. Sterilize and maintain all medical equipment and instruments to the highest standards in order to prevent the spread of infections and ensure patient safety.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections and follow proper procedures for sterilization and maintenance of all equipment and instruments.
  3. Monitor and record sterilization processes and maintain accurate documentation.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and efficient processing of equipment and instruments.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with equipment or instruments in a timely manner.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and follow established infection control guidelines.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the sterile processing area.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in sterilization processes.
  9. Provide training and guidance to new team members and ensure they follow proper procedures.
  10. Work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment and instruments.
  11. Communicate any issues or concerns regarding equipment or instruments to the appropriate departments.
  12. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to sterile processing.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sterile processing.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on department policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician (Cspdt) Or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Through A Recognized Certification Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Sterile Processing Or Related Field, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Surgical Instruments And Equipment, And Infection Control Practices.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
