  1. Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  2. Evaluate and diagnose patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals.
  4. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
  5. Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  7. Educate patients and their families on strategies for maximizing communication and swallowing abilities.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in the delivery of speech and language therapy services.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Keep abreast of current research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with infection control and safety protocols.
  13. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
  14. Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including weekends and evenings as required.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech Language Pathology: A Prn Speech Language Pathologist At Musc Health Should Possess A Master's Degree In Speech Language Pathology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc): Candidates Should Have A Valid Certificate Of Clinical Competence From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) And Must Be In Good Standing With The Organization.

  • State Licensure: Applicants Must Hold A Current State License To Practice As A Speech Language Pathologist In South Carolina.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Speech Language Pathologist In A Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For This Prn Position.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment.
