  11. Actively participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to mental health services.
  12. Attend trainings and workshops to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  13. Serve as a liaison between patients and community resources, connecting them with necessary support and services.
  14. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and cultural competence in all aspects of patient care.

Job Qualifications

  • Master's Degree In Social Work Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Social Work Or A Closely Related Field Is Typically Required For A Social Worker - Mental Health Position At Musc Health. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Assess And Treat Mental Health Issues.

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw): Candidates For This Position Should Hold A Current Lcsw License In The State Of South Carolina. This License Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Education, Supervised Experience, And Examination Requirements To Practice Clinical Social Work.

  • Experience In Mental Health Settings: Musc Health Prefers Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Mental Health Setting, Such As A Hospital, Clinic, Or Community Mental Health Center. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Complexities Of Working With Individuals With Mental Health Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices In Mental Health Treatment Is Essential For This Position. Musc Health Values Candidates Who Are Knowledgeable About The Most Effective And Current Treatment Methods For Various Mental Health Disorders.
