
Sleep Lab Technician
At MUSC Health, we are looking for a Sleep Lab Technician who is passionate about helping people get the rest they need. We are seeking an individual who is knowledgeable in sleep health and has a strong commitment to providing high quality patient care. The Sleep Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and providing exceptional patient care.The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of sleep lab experience. Clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.We are looking for a Sleep Lab Technician who is highly motivated, organized and can work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of a Sleep Lab Technician:
- Conduct sleep studies in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patients during sleep studies and document findings.
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort during sleep studies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment.
- Educate patients on the importance of sleep hygiene and provide advice on how to improve sleep habits.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcome for the patient.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data and provide reports to the physician.
- Follow safety procedures and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Stay up to date on the latest developments in sleep health and technology.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Current Bls Certification
Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively
Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Or Registry Eligible
Knowledge Of Sleep Physiology
