  2. Collaborate with other researchers and faculty members to develop and implement research projects and experiments.
  3. Analyze and interpret research data, and present findings at conferences and in scientific publications.
  4. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of biochemistry and incorporate them into research projects.
  5. Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in their research projects.
  6. Develop and maintain research protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
  7. Secure funding through grant proposals and assist in managing research budgets.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings and discussions, providing input and insights on ongoing research projects.
  9. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of research.
  10. Support and contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the Department of Biochemistry and MUSC Health.

Job Qualifications

  • Phd In Biochemistry Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Biochemistry Is Essential For A Research Assistant Professor-Department Of Biochemistry Position At Musc Health. A Phd In The Field Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of Biochemical Principles And Techniques.

  • Previous Research Experience: Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Independent Research, Preferably In The Field Of Biochemistry. This Could Include Publications In Peer-Reviewed Journals, Presentations At Conferences, And Successful Grant Applications.

  • Knowledge Of Advanced Laboratory Techniques: The Department Of Biochemistry At Musc Health Utilizes Cutting-Edge Technology And Techniques To Conduct Research. Candidates Should Have Experience With Techniques Such As Mass Spectrometry, Protein Purification, And Molecular Biology.

  • Experience With Grant Writing: As A Research Assistant Professor, Candidates Will Be Expected To Secure External Funding To Support Their Research Projects. Previous Experience With Grant Writing And A Successful Track Record Of Securing Funding Is Highly Desirable.
