- Provide high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients in the Florence, SC area on a PRN basis.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients while administering treatments and procedures.
- Utilize strong clinical skills and knowledge to assess and address patient needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Stay up-to-date on current respiratory therapy practices and procedures, and implement them into patient care as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to make recommendations for patient care.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing MUSC Health to patients and their families.

- Maintain current licensure and certifications, and meet all required qualifications for the position.
Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Possess Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association.
Valid State Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Valid License To Practice As A Registered Respiratory Therapist In The State Of South Carolina.
Minimum Education And Training: The Candidate Must Have At Least An Associate's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Program. A Bachelor's Degree Is Preferred. They Must Also Have Completed The Necessary Clinical Training And Passed The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc) Exams.
Previous Experience: The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Registered Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Setting. Experience In A Critical Care Or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Is Preferred.
Availability For Prn Shifts: The Candidate Must Be Available To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays. They Must Also Be Able To Work A Variety Of Shifts, Including Days, Nights, And Weekends, To Meet The Needs Of The Department.
