Job Description

  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  2. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols and standards.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, and communicate any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare team members.
  6. Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and aftercare instructions.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency care.
  10. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  11. Act as a resource and mentor for new and less experienced nurses in the Emergency Department.
  12. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, promoting a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  15. Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Emergency Department Or Critical Care Setting.
