  1. Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  3. Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
  4. Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain procedures and results.
  7. Provide timely and accurate diagnostic reports to aid in patient treatment.
  8. Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including proper use of equipment and radiation protection.
  9. Participate in departmental meetings and discussions to improve processes and patient care.
  10. Conduct research and participate in educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Follow all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor with patients and colleagues.
  13. Collaborate with other radiologists and medical professionals to develop treatment plans and provide second opinions.
  14. Serve as a mentor and resource for other staff members and trainees.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Radiologist At Musc Health Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A Residency Program In Diagnostic Radiology And Additional Fellowship Training In A Subspecialty Such As Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Or Interventional Radiology.

  • Board Certification: A Radiologist Must Be Board Certified By The American Board Of Radiology (Abr) Or Equivalent Certification In Their Specialty Area.

  • State Medical License: Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Experience: Musc Health Prefers Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Practicing As A Radiologist, Preferably In An Academic Medical Center Or Large Healthcare System.
