
Psychologist - Pediatrics
MUSC Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Pediatric Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children and families in a hospital setting and will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.In this role, you will provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation services to children and families. Your expertise in pediatric mental health and development will help promote the best possible outcomes for the patients and families we serve.To be successful in this role, you must have a doctorate in psychology, be licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina, and have at least two years of experience as a Pediatric Psychologist. You must also display strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and consultative services for pediatric patients and their families.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients based on their psychological needs and goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and clinical advances in pediatric mental health and development.
- Provide psychoeducation to parents and other caregivers to help them better understand and assist their child.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills when engaging with patients and families.
- Maintain patient records and document all treatment plans and progress.
- Comply with all local and state regulations and laws pertaining to the practice of psychology.
