  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated support to children and families in crisis within the psychiatric emergency department.
  2. Utilize expertise in mental health to assess and address the needs of young patients and their families.
  3. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
  4. Conduct thorough assessments to identify mental health concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  5. Offer crisis intervention and counseling services to patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  6. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of mental health to continually improve the quality of care provided.
  9. Advocate for the needs and rights of children and families experiencing mental health crises.
  10. Collaborate with community resources and agencies to ensure patients and families receive the necessary support and services.
  11. Provide education and resources to patients and families to promote overall mental health and well-being.
  12. Support and participate in hospital and departmental initiatives and programs related to mental health.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of mental health services.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development through ongoing training and education.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited University, With A Specialization In Mental Health.

  • Current Licensure As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Social Worker In A Psychiatric Emergency Department Or Similar Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Conditions, Crisis Intervention Techniques, And Trauma-Informed Care.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multi-Disciplinary Team.
