  1. Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of physical and functional impairments.
  2. Provide evidence-based rehabilitation services to patients, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients and ensure coordinated care.
  4. Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects related to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  6. Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation and incorporate them into clinical practice.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, progress, and outcomes.
  8. Participate in departmental and institutional committees and meetings as required.
  9. Actively engage in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to all MUSC Health policies, procedures, and guidelines, including safety and infection control protocols.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of learning and growth among colleagues and staff.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives.
  14. Participate in community outreach programs and activities to promote awareness and education about physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve clinical practices and processes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And Board Certification In Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation (Pm&R) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Teaching And Mentoring Medical Students And Residents In The Field Of Pm&R.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In A Specific Subspecialty Of Pm&R, Such As Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Or Pediatric Rehabilitation.

  • Active Participation In Research And Publication In Peer-Reviewed Journals Related To Pm&R.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals And Engage In Interprofessional Education Initiatives.
