Phlebotomy- Lead

1. Oversee and manage the phlebotomy team, including scheduling, training, and evaluating performance.
2. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures related to phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
3. Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages, including difficult draws and specialized collections.
4. Maintain accurate and organized records of all specimens collected and ensure proper transportation to the laboratory.
5. Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment, ordering as needed.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of specimens.
7. Train and educate new phlebotomy staff on proper techniques, protocols, and procedures.
8. Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
9. Troubleshoot any technical issues related to phlebotomy procedures and equipment.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and patient care.
11. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and their families.
12. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
