  1. Assist in the daily operations of the Specialty Pharmacy department.
  2. Work alongside experienced professionals to learn about pharmacy operations.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  4. Assist with medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
  5. Gain hands-on experience in filling and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  6. Participate in medication counseling sessions with patients and provide accurate information on medication usage and potential side effects.
  7. Learn and follow all pharmacy regulations and protocols to ensure compliance and patient safety.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and prescription information.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for learning and professional growth.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of pharmacy practice.
  12. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, billing, and insurance claims processing.

Job Qualifications

  • Completion Of A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree: A Pharmacy Intern At Musc Health Should Have Completed A Pharmd Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy Program. This Degree Ensures That The Intern Has A Strong Foundation In Pharmacy Principles And Practices.

  • Licensure: The Ideal Candidate For The Pharmacy Intern Position At Musc Health Should Possess A Valid And Active Pharmacy Intern License From The State Of South Carolina. This License Ensures That The Candidate Is Qualified To Work In A Pharmacy Setting And Can Perform The Required Duties Under The Supervision Of A Licensed Pharmacist.

  • Knowledge Of Specialty Pharmacy: Musc Health Is A Specialty Pharmacy, Which Means That It Provides Medications And Services For Complex And Chronic Conditions.
