  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the pharmacy department in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of medications.
  4. Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
  5. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
  6. Check inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
  7. Communicate with patients and healthcare providers about medication instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  8. Learn and adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
  9. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacists or pharmacy management.
  12. Maintain accurate and complete records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
  13. Assist with quality control and medication safety initiatives.
  14. Identify and report any potential medication errors or adverse drug reactions.
  15. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  16. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving pharmacy operations and patient care.
  17. Comply with all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  18. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
  19. Continuously strive to improve performance and meet or exceed expectations.
  20. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of MUSC Health in all aspects of job performance.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills

  • Currently Enrolled In An Accredited Doctor Of Pharmacy Program

  • Completion Of At Least One Year Of Pharmacy School Coursework

  • Possess A Valid Pharmacy Intern License In The State Of South Carolina

  • Ability To Accurately And Efficiently Perform Pharmacy Calculations And Maintain Patient Records
