- Perform surgical procedures related to dialysis access, including preparing and maintaining surgical equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and providing sterile instrumentation to the surgeon.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work on an as-needed basis.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of surgical techniques and procedures, including but not limited to arteriovenous fistula creation, graft placement, and catheter insertion.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room.
- Continuously monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient recovery following surgery.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Keep up-to-date on current practices and procedures in the field of surgical technology.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Certification From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Setting.
Experience Working In A Dialysis Access Or Vascular Surgery Department.
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures Related To Dialysis Access Placement And Maintenance.
Flexibility To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays.
