  1. Diagnose and treat respiratory disorders in pediatric patients according to established standards of care and best practices.
  2. Conduct thorough evaluations and examinations of pediatric patients, taking into consideration their medical histories and presenting symptoms.
  3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  4. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, including medication management and ongoing monitoring of symptoms and progress.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including pediatricians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  6. Educate patients and their families about respiratory disorders, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to medication and treatment plans.
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences to discuss complex cases and develop treatment strategies.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of pediatric pulmonology by attending conferences, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
  9. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as the policies and procedures of MUSC Health, to ensure the highest quality of care.
  10. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients, documenting all assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
  11. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with pediatric patients and their families, and provide emotional support as needed.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care delivered to pediatric patients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  13. Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals, including residents, medical students, and nursing staff.
  14. Represent MUSC Health in a professional and positive manner, promoting our mission of providing exceptional care for pediatric patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Pediatric Pulmonologist At Musc Health Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Pediatrics And Pulmonology, Demonstrating Expertise And Knowledge In The Field.

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: A Pediatric Pulmonologist Must Have Completed A Pediatric Residency And Fellowship Training In Pulmonology.

  • Experience In Pediatric Pulmonology: Musc Health Seeks Candidates With Experience In Diagnosing And Treating A Wide Range Of Pediatric Respiratory Conditions, Including Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, And Bronchiolitis.
