Medical Degree: A Pediatric Geneticist At Musc Health Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification In Pediatric Genetics: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Pediatric Genetics By The American Board Of Pediatrics Or The American Board Of Medical Genetics And Genomics.
Residency Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A 3-Year Residency In Pediatrics, Followed By A 2-3 Year Fellowship In Pediatric Genetics.
Experience In Genetic Counseling: Musc Health Requires Candidates To Have Experience In Providing Genetic Counseling To Patients And Families, Including The Ability To Explain Complex Genetic Concepts In A Clear And Compassionate Manner.
