1. Diagnose and treat various skin conditions in pediatric patients, including but not limited to eczema, acne, psoriasis, and birthmarks.
2. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient age, medical history, and specific condition.
3. Perform skin biopsies and other diagnostic procedures as necessary to accurately diagnose and treat conditions.
4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including primary care physicians, nurses, and specialists, to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
5. Educate patients and their families on proper skin care techniques and provide resources for managing skin conditions at home.
6. Monitor and track patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
7. Participate in ongoing research and clinical trials related to pediatric dermatology.
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and treatments in pediatric dermatology through continued education and professional development.
9. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients.
10. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, in regards to patient care.
11. Act as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals, including residents and medical students.
12. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct and promote a positive and respectful work environment.
13. Continuously evaluate and improve upon processes and procedures to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
14. Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote pediatric dermatology and raise awareness about common skin conditions in children.
15. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and collaborative healthcare experience.
