Payroll Analyst

MUSC Health is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of payroll processes and procedures, and the ability to develop efficient and accurate payroll practices. Responsibilities:

1. Process employee payrolls in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all necessary information is included.
2. Review and verify payroll information and records for accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
3. Maintain employee records in payroll systems, including changes in tax withholdings, deductions, benefits, etc.
4. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other related matters.
5. Reconcile payroll records with benefit providers and general ledger accounts.
6. Prepare reports related to payroll, such as earnings, deductions, taxes, benefit accruals, and other payroll-related reports.
7. Ensure accurate and timely submission of all payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions.
8. Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures.
9. Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
10. Remain up-to-date on payroll compliance laws and regulations.
