  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
  2. Assist with daily patient care activities, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with personal hygiene and mobility.
  3. Monitor patient status and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  4. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality and personalized care to patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices and advancements in patient care.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  10. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Tech Ii At Musc Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Be Considered For The Position.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Equivalent Certification: To Be Eligible For A Patient Care Tech Ii Position, Candidates Must Hold A Valid Cna Certification Or An Equivalent Certification Recognized By Musc Health.

  • Prior Experience In A Critical Care Or Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (Cicu): Candidates Must Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Or Cardiac Intensive Care Unit To Be Considered For A Patient Care Tech Ii Position.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: All Patient Care Tech Ii Candidates Must Possess A Valid Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or An Equivalent Organization.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Patient Care Tech Ii Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment. Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Work As Part Of A Team Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.
